Rarely do I watch much of Dr. Oz these days but I do still record it every day. His show is so confusing and I think everyone that watches feels the same way. It bothers the hell out of me that every day he is giving us permission to eat this food or that, but the very next day he says it’s what’s making us fat…or worse yet, what’s killing us. All that said, every once in a while he has a not to be missed guest and today is that day. And…while you are watching, beware the “free” snack you might want to munch on. Not only do many sugar and fat free products add weird chemical replacements, but sometimes free doesn’t even mean free. Are you aware that products that contain less than 0.5 grams of fat are allowed to round down, claiming to be fat free. It might have 0.49 grams of fat in actuality. Many of us tend to eat a lot of this fat free food through the day and this can actually add up. Fat is not the bad guy, but bad fat is! Grab an apple (or some other fruit, or some celery and salsa, maybe some carrots and hummus, or….) and then take a break to watch Dr. Chopra guide you to a less stressful place.
