One of the biggest things we gain, when we lose weight, is self-esteem. Often, we forget how far we have come and on BL we sometimes forget how far THEY have come. Though last night’s show saw Cheryl go home, she left half her size and twice (at least) as bold and secure. Remember how quiet she was in the early episodes? It was so nice to see her looking great, feeling great, with a whole new outlook on life, a new sister-like friend and the comfort that she and her son have a whole new way of living life.
I watched a lot of the show in the DVR mode, as I also wanted to see some of the girls compete in American Idol. I have one clear favorite on that show, Crystal with the dreadlocks! What a voice. Back to BL-I breezed through the challenge, though I did like it. I also loved that they had to do volunteer work, where once again, my boy Sam, kicked physical butt! Ok, how hot is he looking? Thankfully Jillian said all the right words to him when he only lost 4 pounds. Thankfully he wasn’t sent home, as I did worry that his lack of potential to pull big numbers might have been his demise. I don’t think he can possibly take off enough weight to win this game, but I sure wish he could.
With 11 contestants left, it can’t be too many weeks before the make-over episode. I can’t wait already! Some of those guys reeeeeeeeeeally need a haircut, but I am more than sure the producers are purposely holding out for the make-over.
I’ll be renewing my CPR this Sunday at a little park in Coral Springs from 1-3. Anyone want to join me? 20 bucks, through American Heart Association and this one is taught by a woman from the Coral Springs Police Department. Contact me if you are interested and need more info. You never know when you might be a lifesaver!
Happy hump day everyone.

BL was a big hit for me last night even though my husband was toggling back and forth to Idol. He also loves Crystal and he mentioned that she would be in the “top 5” weeks ago.
One thing about BL that I did not like was the “pitch” for their protein bars. I really wish that they would address the food component of their program more. Some of the men really need a make-over, but I am sure this is done on purpose. I can’t wait to see the final results.
Bonni, your work-out last night was fabulous. I woke up with soreness in my muscles and that tells me that I worked out some new areas. Ah……….that is so fulfiling to me. Thanks!! I LOVE the instrumental Beatles dvd. It totally puts me into a serene state of mind. 🙂

I liked BL last night too. I was relieved that Sam did not go home. He’s a natural leader on the Black Team and he’s the only real muscle they have. (And very nice muscle at that – as Jillian also pointed out)
Over on Idol – Crystal is a fave of mine too. Did you see how many instruments that girl can play? It’s amazing how much talent she has. I also like Siohban and Katie.
As if BL and AI is not enough, Dancing with the Stars starts next week too! This season is already won – IMO – Nicole (PussyCat Doll) should really be a sure thing to make it to the finals!
My DVR will only record 2 shows at once. Not sure what I’ll do when DWTS starts. The other nights of the week I search dozens of channels for something to watch! Ahh – if only all life’s problems were this big 😉
Thanks for the great workouts last night Bonni.
I’m starting to dig the Yoga stuff. I don’t feel quite so awkward with it anymore.
