In an Instant…

When Kyle and I first developed this website, we chose peaceandfitness as my domain.  Peace, love and fitness have always been 3 of the most important aspects of my life but because I am far from alone on this one, I had to sadly drop the word love, as that .com had already been taken.  What we were left with was peaceandfitness and if you were to ask “What is the opposite of peace and fitness?” the answer would be what happened yesterday in Boston.  While I had several things I wanted to write about today, I decided to write about the bombings just gives it more glory and to write about anything else seems insensitive, so I leave you with this quote and wish you a peaceful day filled with love and of course, so fitness!  Hoping all your loved ones are safe and sending healing light to those personally impacted by yesterday’s events.  I think we all were…

“What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met.”

Carolina crossed the finish line just 10 minutes before the explosions. She and Manuel and Sebastian were near the finish line by the recovery tent when it happened. Thankfully they are all safe and unhurt and on their way home today.

I knew Carolina would be there….I am so sorry they, especially Sebastian had to bear witness to this…I am certainly glad to know they are all OK….
