What a great story about the wealthy guy who dresses up as Batman and drives around in his $300,000 Batmobile, visiting with sick children all across the country. Lenny B. Rpbinson, you ARE a real life superhero and the world is a far better place because of you. You may have heard of him earlier this year when he got pulled over in his last Batmobile, a black Lamborghini (because his license plate had a bat symbol on it). The new Batmobile, built from scratch, has a legitimate plate on it. After the video showing his encounter with the sheriff’s deputy went viral, Robinson knew he found his purpose. “I have a responsibility to be this person, and to do the thing I’m doing. I intend to do this for as long as I can,” said 49 year-old Robinson…or was that Batman?
I am sure my kids appreciate this story and I am sure that all the kids touched by this superhero are just a bit happier than they were before his visit. Just as Ann Curry is challenging us to do 26 random acts of kindness (1 for each of the victims of the Newtown massacre) this guy has taken kindness to a whole new level…but superheros come in all sizes, shapes and colors, and we ALL have a chance to go out there and perform our own random acts of kindness. If we all do our part, imagine what a wonderful new year lies ahead…
