Good morning and happy Sunday. It’s been great to hear from so many people who have been stopping in to take a peak at this blog. I greatly appreciate all the feedback and am glad to hear that some of you are taking more time to practice quiet meditation, others are giving thought to adding more plant based foods to their meals and still others are taking more time to calculate their caloric intake. One of my friends let me know how she did NOT like the Diana’s Bananas and other is now challenging herself with P90X (and wondering how I could get thru the entire ab ripper X video). I love your feedback and I can only hope, in some small way, we can all help each other along the day to day (really moment to moment) journey to restore or maintain wellness.
Several people have asked me if I know how many people read my blog. I am finding out it is more than I thought, but if just one person reads something that helps them even slightly, my mission is accomplished. Sometimes we set out to help facilitate change and wonder how much impact we can really make. This thought reminds me of the story of…
As an old man walked the beach at dawn, he noticed a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea
Finally catching up with the youth, he asked him why he was doing so.
The answer was that the stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun.
“But the beach goes on for miles and miles and there are millions of starfish,”
Countered the other, “How can your effort make a difference?”
The young man looked at the starfish in his hands and threw it to safety in the waves.
He said “IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO THIS ONE“
