A huge congratulations to the sisters, Olivia and Hannah, on making the final 4 on Biggest Loser, last night. America will vote between Jay and Irene, who fell below the yellow line, and decide who will make the cut in the final 3, when we watch the finale next week. Jay has done a great job with his “9 lives” on the show, but I would love to see the three, now “little” girls, the last ones weighing in. The only problem I see is that they will probably all come back TOO THIN! Irene looks pretty short so she can probably pull off losing a decent amount more weight, should she make the cut, and Jay certainly has a good amount to still lose. My girl, Olivia, who I think deserves bragging rights, looks like she might be way too thin if she loses the amount of weight she would need to lose, to compete. Hannah, she looks like she can still lose a bit…Olivia has been my pick since week one, but honestly, I think Hannah could really use the win, as I feel that Olivia’s self esteem is already pretty great in comparison to her sister’s. One more week and another re-invented, saved, being will stand beneath the confetti and go home a quarter of a million dollars wealthier. The real excitement will be seeing the eliminated contestants come back and show what they have done at home. Last night we got a peak at Jen and Ana. Neither looked like they have reached their goal weight, but again, we’ll see next week.
The challenges were good. Making the burgers for the kids was just a plug for Jennie-O turkey, but I get it. I am glad Jay won. He has probably made a lot of burgers in his day and he seemed comfortable designing a recipe. Poor Olivia…she had a good idea but even kids know better than to eat weird creamy green stuff. Jay won $5,000 from the people at Jennie-O. The physical challenge was unloading the weight they used to carry. Watching the girls carry 100 or so pounds seemed bizarre. Much as I totally understand this challenge, I say every year, carrying the weight evenly distributed on one’s body is NOT the same as carrying it on your back! Poor Olivia…she never complains but was in so much pain I thought for a minute she was having a heart attack! I always understand that extreme situations require extreme measures but, still I worry! Go HANNAH, for winning this challenge and a Cybex home gym worth $15,000! They all won some trainers to work with them at home, too. NICE!
Remember these girls?
It’s time to start the work day. I will see you back here, tomorrow. In the meantime I will be teaching SilverSneakers at 11:30 today at TFC. Yes, it will probably be crowded, so I appreciate your dedication to YOUR health as we continue to take our move to Tamarac one week at a time. Remember that I WILL be teaching the Friday class, too, beginning this week. For other classes (non s) or private sessions, feel free to contact me.
