With the holidays rapidly approaching , why not give the gift of fitness? In every single price range there are fantastic gifts that can be purchased for all the people on your gift list. From high end items such as gym memberships, home equipment such as treadmills or Pilates reformers, to small, inexpensive items such as environmentally friendly water bottles or workout gloves, the options are limitless!
For every age group there is something out there to inspire health and wellness. Think bicycles, roller blades or even interactive video games, such as Wii-Fit. Most fitness enthusiasts can never have enough magazines, books or workout videos. Clothing in all price ranges abound, from fancy yoga wear and running sneakers, to the great sports bras that are available at your local Target stores.
When I was growing up, I was NOT athletic. Unlike my best friend, Carole, I was not good at climbing the ropes. I hated playing dodge ball and having baseballs thrown to (at) me was never much fun, either. I did love cheer-leading and dancing, point being that everyone has something physical they enjoy. When I fell into the fitness business, mostly by default, it opened up my body and mind to all the possibilities that exist. That was 30 years ago and the possibilities are still endless!
This year for the holidays, think about inspiring your loved ones to be more physical. Several sessions with a personal trainer will go a long way for someone new to the scene, or someone who needs to change up their current routine. For $60.00 on Craig’s list, my husband purchased the P90X videos for me this past summer and that certainly inspired me! A good pull-up bar and perhaps the Perfect Push-up device, along with those videos is the complete package. A few years ago, I purchased an IPOD for my husband, my son downloaded the music and now going walking or to the gym is much more enjoyable for him.
Open you mind to all the gifts that can benefit the body. For the fitness enthusiast that already has it all, there is always a gift certificate for a peaceful, rejuvenating massage or a day of relaxation at a local spa. Let me know what fitness items are on YOUR wish list this year.

Your 11:30 class at Fusion Fitness and Yoga was totally awesome this morning, You have such energy and power to inspire your students. You are the quintessential motivator! The facility is beautiful and totally immaculate! I really enjoyed all the artwork and Asian influence in the decor.
I totally agree with you about giving the gift of fitness. We always indulge in candy, food, wine, etc, but it is imperative that we take the time to indulge in fitness and share that with family and friends that we love. I, too, walk with an iPod. My husband enjoys his iPod when he walks on the treadmill. Time just flies by while we listen to our favorite tunes. So………get out there and purchase some fun exercise equipment for your loved ones. The gift of exercise is truly the gift of life!
