Happy October. What a great month to get outside and get moving. All you really need is your own body to get yourself in shape. While I love adding lunges, sprints, push-ups off benches and other moves into a walk, JUST a walk, isn’t really JUST anything. You can work those legs, get your heart-up, burn some calories, help level your “numbers” out and the greatest bonus is breathing in the outdoor air and spending some time with Mother Nature. If you want to do something more formal, consider joining a park trail group or an outdoor boot camp program. There are also many yoga classes given outdoors at parks and beaches. Check your local paper for details or call your local city hall. Fall is an awesome time for some 5K fun runs. Locally, runners are meeting up in Parkland every Thursday night. I can give you more details if you are interested.
If you are local and interested in doing a small group, outdoor workout, let me know. I have one small group already going on in Parkland on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 8:30. There is room for one or two more to come join us and it’s a pay as you go arrangement. Let me know if you are interested, or interested in forming your own. I don’t have many time slots available, but I can usually figure something out. So many choices…ah….
