Pilates, the Back Story

October 19, 2010 by Bonni

In the early 1990s I heard about Pilates.   In the mid 1990s I got a computer and googled the word Pilates.  I think I came up with about 2 articles!  In the later 1990s I found a mentor on that same computer.  In a health and fitness chat room, I was fortunate to "meet up" with Gil Roberts, from One on One Pilates in Fresno, California.  He was kind enough (thank you again, … [Read more...] about Pilates, the Back Story

Well, as I often say, everything old is new again.  In the past few years, hula hooping for fitness has made a big … [Read more...] about Shoop-Shoop

Never Settle for Good Enough

October 2, 2010 by Bonni

There was some great news this week about how one full year after a stroke, (and even thereafter) patients are still regaining lost or damaged brain function.   I have always "supposed" this theory.  That's probably mostly because I am an optimist, but also because in my Pilates training I have learned so much about the nervous system and how we can continuously teach it to … [Read more...] about Never Settle for Good Enough
