I was so, so sad to learn of the untimely passing of my nephew Gene's K-9 partner, BC, yesterday. My heart is breaking for Gene, Lori, and their beautiful twins, David and Sarah. RIP, BC. I know you will run freely over the rainbow bridge...And I know how much you will be missed by your family, co-workers and friends. Thank you for the tremendous contribution you made to your community. Sending all our love to our family who's hearts must be torn to pieces, and have already suffered way too many losses.
There is a beautiful video of him on youtube but I don't know how to get it to my blog. Perhaps if you go to youtube and search for BC Wilsea you might find it....But be prepared to cry. I still am.

Thank you Bonnie, a pet is a pet. But a partner is a partner. In 5 years we were only ever apart for 4 days. I can't tell you how many times we ran into the jaws of hell together or alone to protect one another. When he was at work he was fierce and when he was at home he was Sarah and Davids plaything and gaurdian. The stories of his last six work weeks were fantastic, its like he knew and he wanted everyone to remember that he could still.do the job. I wake up every morning and I call his name still, I go to work and ill find myself talking to him in the car and at the end of the night.when I'm in bed, I cry every night because I miss him. He was MY best friend, MY greatest protector, he was my BIG DOG and life seems much smaller withouth him.
