In accordance with yesterday's blog, I had afternoon "therapy" with Rita.  We shared (as we always do) some great conversation and much of it revolved around our own experiences with meditation and different techniques that we are experimenting with.  From mantras, and sunbeams to still oceans and flowing streams, we shared all our visuals and look forward to continuing our individual journeys, and continuing to share them with one another.  Thanks, Rita.  Our time together is always enlightening!

Today, in our own way, Mitch and I will quietly observe Yom Kippur.  Though I am far from religious and definitely not observant, I stand strong in my belief that there is something much greater than ME!  All I have to do is look around to know that.  I choose to worship Mother Nature, because I cannot question her presence.  In all that I see, there she is.  I believe that all she wants from us is to be caring, loving beings who treat each other with kindness and respect and that we take care of one another (all living things) and our environment as well.

My greatest wish is always for PEACE.  Globally, locally, in our homes, our relationships and most importantly, in our hearts.   Whatever your greater source is, I hope it guides you toward peace.  With respect for my parents, I will not be working today.  Though I won't be at temple, I do know that all over the world the chant of SHALOM, which simply means peace, will be ringing.
