Today is gonna be THE day. Even though this year was different from all the rest, Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas (eve and day) and New Year’s (eve and day) and the weekend that followed (for those who stretched it to the max) are officially behind us.
There are so many tips to get you into or back into your fitness and nutrition zone. Got some lemons? Make lemonade by squeezing them into your water today and then drink lots and lots of it. Clean out your fridge of any fattening, unhealthy leftovers. My great friend Lisa taught me to feed those leftovers to the fish and turtles in my canal. We all win. Discard or freeze the bread and cut back on the carbs for a bit. Make some oatmeal and have it in the fridge for breakfasts. Scoop some into a bowl, add some fruit and a bit of peanut butter and reheat in the microwave for 2 minutes. I always add cinnamon as it helps stabilize blood sugar. Having food readily available is so important–or else we end up eating whatever is quickest. Make a big pot of veggie soup and build dinners around it. Wash your fruit and veggies and leave them ready to grab and eat. Wash your lettuce!!! Make a big salad that can last for a few days. Grab portions and dress them (lightly) as needed. Getting ahead of your hunger is key.
GET UP OFF YOUR BUTT and move. The pandemic has found us with some new, high tech ways to exercise, like the Mirror by Lululemon. It’s an investment, but if you are in a cold weather climate and you can afford it, it’s probably worth it. I do wish, just once, they showed someone in their ads that wasn’t already fit!

Happy, Healthy New Year Bonni and Friends! Today’s The Day for sure! Actually, yesterday was my new beginning with so many leftover veggies in the frig and time on my hands. Made a Mustgo soup (everything must go) and it always turns out delicious but can never be duplicated lol. This morning I made hot lemon water with Splenda and it took the place of my coffee. Didn’t miss it. Well, today anyway. Trying to keep my liver clean for evening cocktails 😂🍷 Love the motivation you’re spreading in regards to feeding the hungry. You da bomb!
Love You,
