Happy Birthday, Dr. King

January 18, 2010 by Bonni

I don’t ever blog twice in one day, but left for work and realized I completely forgot to pay tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.  His contribution to this world, his ability to unite people and his passion for peace make him one of the greatest heroes ever.  May his gifts to humanity and his memory live on eternally.  I am sad and sorry that there were those in the world who were not enlightened enough to understand him.   Happy Birthday, Dr. King.  Thank you for being brave and strong enough to fight for what you believed in.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech, “I Have a Dream” still brings tears to my eyes and goosebumps all over my body. His resounding voice continues to echo in my ears and makes my heart skip a beat. He was a man that filled up all the senses. I, too, have such admiration for this passionate human being.
